Policies and Guidelines

Have a question about registration or licensing? Or perhaps you’re looking for more information on stat pay and changing your address? As a postgraduate medical trainee at UBC, there’s a lot to know.

That’s why the Postgrad Dean’s office has created a single, comprehensive manual of policies and procedures designed to guide and protect you, the Faculty of Medicine, and the University in the conduct of day-to-day business.

2017-2018 UBC PGME Resident Policies and Procedures Manual (last revised April 2017)

The policies and procedures included in this manual are derived from a variety of organizational groups and regulatory bodies.

Please note that updates to the Policies and Procedures Manual may occur throughout the academic year. The most current version of the manual can always be found on the Postgraduate Medical Education website.

For Family Medicine Residents, please refer to the Family Practice Resident Orientation Manual and the policy tabs on this website for further detailed information.
