Message from the Co-Directors
Welcome!
We are looking forward to meeting you personally and to work together towards your future career.
UBC’s Family Medicine Residency Program — representing the largest Family Medicine Residency Program in Canada — is a two-year program accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
Training is delivered at 23 sites across the province, ranging from large urban centres to rural regions of B.C.
Over the course of the two-year program, residents prepare for evidence-based practice by gaining direct experience working in hospital and community-based settings, and engaging in a wide variety of scholarly activities.
While each of our training sites follows standard curriculum objectives and assessment processes, every site is unique, offering residents an opportunity to help serve diverse populations and gain a broad range of skills tailored to their interests.
We are excited to see you succeed in your residency and to provide excellent care to our B.C. citizens.
One of the main goals of our program is to develop long lasting relations with our faculty and with your colleagues. We look forward to working together!
All the very best,
Dr. Alfredo Tura, MD CCFP FCPP ACBOM and Dr. Bob Wollard, MD CCFP LM (Laval)
